Responsibilities:
MTSI is currently recruiting a highly skilled engineer Provide Data Science Persistent Infrared (PIR) analytical support, on-site at WPAFB, OH.
The selected candidate focus is on improving the data and PED systems of production threads, to include Requests for Information (RFI), rapid scripting, process improvement, technique discovery, and data validation.
RFI Support - identifying and explaining issues with accepted data types; - identifying, explaining, and applying the benefits of revised processing techniques; - identifying and providing alternative techniques and processes to streamline production timelines; - generating in-depth technical analysis summaries on government identified targets of interest.

Rapid Scripting Support Provide rapid prototyping of scripts to enhance production and increase the transition of capabilities into operations.
In coordination with the GTM and Government SME, and formalize the scripts into the production baseline shall provide on-the-job training and documentation on how to utilize scripts.
Process Improvement Support Provide recommendations to improve processes pertaining to a wide range of associated issues including, but not limited to:
(a) data flow; (b) data ingest; (c) data analysis; (d) product and report creation; (e) processing automations; (f) algorithm refinement for data extraction and for product generation and efficiency (prototyping only) (g) collection guidance; (h) software/hardware architecture improvements; and (i) external data facing issues.
The candidate will incorporate Geographic Information System (GIS) tools and techniques into production, customer requirements management, documentation guidance, and data/product dissemination.
Produce special opportunity technical reports that identify unique opportunities for the PIR mission in NASIC, focusing on innovative utilization of PIR for tool or process improvements and incorporation of new analytic techniques.
Technique Discovery Support Investigate and implement the discovery of new techniques for processing and analysis focusing on speed and accuracy.
Data Validation Support Perform output comparisons and data validation tasks against the quality/integrity of data, changes in software, hardware, data conversions, algorithms, scripts, or other areas that could affect data integrity and product validation.
The contractor shall document validation results in either technical reports or presentations.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in software programming languages including Python, and R.
Familiarity of ArcGIS Suite Strong communication and collaboration skills Clearance:
